Have you been to Bangladesh? Would you like to go? I have to admit that Bangladesh isn’t exactly on my top 10, but after seeing all the beautiful images on the Positive Light travel photography website, I’m starting to think – sure, looks like an adventurous, extraordinary destination!
Positive Light brings all photographers, ranging from professional to hobbyists, into one place with the goal of being the country’s best travel photography resource in promoting Bangladesh internationally. Licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution Licence, the images are accessible for website republication, without breaking copyright rules, for any tourism related marketing and initiatives.
Published photos from the Positive Light project will first appear in a large format, coffee table book, while selected images will be published in the 2nd edition of Bangladesh: The Bradt Travel Guide.
Founded by Mikey Leung and Belinda Meggitt, Positive Light is just one of their initiatives to lead travellers towards Bangladesh. Their Crowdsourced Travel project includes an online travel guide and they operate adventure tours that offer “specialty exposure tours to travel media and to those aspiring to join the travel media.”
Crowdsourced Travel through all their projects believe that by showing the beauty of Bangladesh, opportunities for its citizens through tourism, can ultimately help to alleviate poverty.
Thank you Crowdsourced Travel for making our world wonderful.
