The gift giving season is officially over for another year and that makes me very happy. It’s not necessarily the buying of gifts that’s the challenge, but rather fighting the crowds, choosing the perfect gift and wrapping the presents that require most of the effort. Especially when buying toys for children, who usually end up more impressed and enamoured with the cardboard packaging of the gift than the toy itself!
Paperpod, started by product designer and cardboard engineer Paul Martin, was created from this observation – of children spending hours having fun playing with boxes. Through Paul’s inventiveness and design expertise, Paperpod offers a range of eco-friendly products using recycled cardboard for individuals, schools and nurseries, intended to promote creativity and imagination amongst children. Sturdy, safe and fun, Paperpod products which range from cardboard igloos, playhouses and aeroplanes, fold flat for storage and are fully recyclable and biodegradable.
Grown-ups can have fun playing with children and their cardboard toys but can also build their own Paperpod chair or room divider. To check out their entire range of products, click here.
In 2012, Paperpod was acquired by 3WM Limited, which produces a similar range of products under the Kid-Eco brand.
Thank you Paperpod for making our world wonderful.
